Meet Sejal Bhargava! She is our Volunteer of the Month for December 2024 and a valued member of AMA Boston’s Content Marketing Team, where she contributes her expertise as a Website Volunteer.
Sejal Bhargava brings a unique blend of creativity and analytical thinking to her work. With a Master’s degree in Marketing Analytics, she has built an impressive career helping brands across various industries connect with their audiences and make informed, data-driven decisions. Sejal finds joy in uncovering trends, telling stories through data, and shaping marketing strategies that create meaningful customer connections. Her passion lies in helping businesses truly understand their audiences and turn those insights into impactful actions.
Sejal is also deeply committed to giving back. Through her volunteer work with the Boston chapter of the American Marketing Association, she has found a supportive community of like-minded professionals. Volunteering has allowed her to share her knowledge, learn from others, and grow alongside her peers—a journey she finds incredibly rewarding.
Outside of her professional and volunteer commitments, Sejal is a person of many interests. She finds peace and inspiration in her garden, cultivating a connection to nature. Her love for travel has taken her to new places, where she explores different cultures and gains fresh perspectives. And as an aviation enthusiast, she’s captivated by the mechanics and thrill of flying. Whether she’s in her garden, on a plane, or discovering a new adventure, Sejal is always driven by her curiosity and desire to grow, explore, and stay inspired.

1. Tell us about yourself!
I’m a marketing enthusiast driven by curiosity and a passion for using data to connect people and ideas. With a Master’s in Marketing Analytics, I specialize in helping brands leverage data to uncover meaningful stories that inspire action and fuel growth.
I’m also an active volunteer with the Boston chapter of the American Marketing Association, where I collaborate with like-minded professionals to give back to the marketing community. Outside of work, I find peace in gardening, excitement in traveling, and joy in exploring new interests—aviation being one of my favorites. For me, life is about continuous growth, and I’m always eager to embrace what’s next.
2. Why are you involved with the AMA Boston / marketing community, and how is the AMA helping empower your career and growth?
I’m involved with AMA Boston because I believe in the power of collaboration to drive both personal and professional growth. Being part of this community allows me to connect with like-minded marketing professionals, exchange ideas, and stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends. Volunteering with AMA has expanded my network, provided valuable learning opportunities, and allowed me to contribute my own insights. Through my involvement, I’ve gained fresh perspectives, honed my skills, and developed leadership abilities. The resources, workshops, and events have played a pivotal role in advancing my career in marketing analytics, and I’m excited to continue growing within this dynamic community.
3. What are some of your goals for AMA Boston and where do you see yourself with the organization in the next year?
My goals for AMA Boston are to continue building meaningful connections with fellow marketing professionals, share my knowledge, and contribute to the growth of the community. I’m eager to participate in more leadership opportunities within the organization, helping to organize events, workshops, and initiatives that add value to our members. In the next year, I see myself taking on more responsibility within AMA Boston, collaborating on impactful projects, and further developing my leadership and strategic skills. I’m excited to continue learning from others while actively contributing to the growth and success of the marketing community.
4. What excites you about marketing/the marketing field?
What excites me about marketing is its dynamic nature and the blend of creativity and data. I love using data to uncover trends and create strategies that resonate with audiences while driving results. The constant evolution of the field, from emerging technologies to shifting consumer behaviors, keeps me engaged and excited to learn and adapt. Marketing offers endless opportunities to innovate and make a real impact.
5. Who is your favorite marketer OR what is your favorite business that does marketing well?
One of my favorite marketers is Seth Godin. His ability to connect with audiences through storytelling and his focus on building trust and community over traditional advertising is something I admire. His approach to marketing as a means of creating meaningful connections resonates with me deeply.
