BOSTON, MA – JULY 1, 2024 – The American Marketing Association (AMA) Boston, which is a nonprofit that provides opportunities for marketers and related business professionals across various industries and career levels to learn, teach, job search, recruit, network, promote, contribute, and practice, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Emilee Cocuzzo as the new President, effective July 1, 2024. Emilee Cocuzzo, who previously served as President-Elect and was formerly the Vice President of Collegiate, has been an active and influential member of AMA Boston since 2020.

Since joining the organization, Cocuzzo expanded the AMA Boston Board, introduced new roles, and established internships, ensuring team consistency. She pioneered monthly coworking events, boosted membership through new partnerships, and fostered collaboration among marketing professionals. As Vice President of Collegiate, she launched AMA Boston’s first student mentorship program, initiated office hours with Board members, and formed partnerships with local colleges. In addition, she led the first collegiate scholarship program in over a decade, awarding $500 to a student from an underrepresented background.

Cocuzzo is eager to lead AMA Boston into a new era, focusing on impactful programming events, crafting new relationships and partnerships, increasing membership, and cultivating an intergenerational community that welcomes all marketers—from students to CMOs.

“I am most excited to continue meeting marketers in and around the Boston area. We have a fantastic team at AMA Boston, and I am excited to build on the momentum we have created in the last year. This year will be filled with many more opportunities for all marketers to grow their skill sets and network through AMA Boston,” said Cocuzzo.

Bob Cargill, the new Immediate Past President of AMA Boston, remarked about Cocuzzo’s work, “Emilee is an outstanding leader and a tremendous, all-around marketing professional. I couldn’t be happier for her to be my successor as President of AMA Boston, as she is a very strong visionary, mindful of our chapter’s long-term goals and aware of what steps we need to take to achieve them. In her new role, Emilee will bring out the best in all of those around her and guide us into the future successfully”

Outside of AMA Boston, Cocuzzo is a Service Delivery Lead at Valere, specializing in leading AI and digital transformation projects. In addition, she is an adjunct professor at Clark University, teaching entrepreneurship.
