Summer is almost over and we want to shout out to the interns that have been helping with AMA during this busy time… Bridgette Garcia, Social Media Intern, and Shilpa Negi, Market Research and Consulting Intern, have been incredibly helpful throughout this summer and we hope they continue to work with us and AMA in the future.
Bridgette Garcia:
Bridgette Garcia (she/her) is a Clark University student, majoring in Interactive Media/Game Design with a minor in Marketing. In her free time, Bridgette enjoys “playing video games and watching anime”.
Within the AMA, she hopes to “not only connect, but also form lasting friendships within this community”. This summer she will be spending lots of family time in Texas and Mexico.
What Excites Her About AMA:
“To network with like-minded individuals and to learn how to create engaging social media content across multiple platforms!”
Shilpa Negi:
Shilpa Negi (she/her) is a Clark University student, getting her MS in Marketing Analytics. She also “holds a prior master’s degree in biotechnology and [has] over five years of experience working in India within the Medical Devices and Biotechnology industries.” Her ”roles have spanned from lead generation and sales to product management and digital marketing.
[She is] deeply passionate about the medical devices industry because of its direct impact on improving patient lives. The opportunity to contribute meaningfully to someone’s health and the potential for innovation in this field keeps [her] motivated and intellectually stimulated.
As an international student, [she is] actively seeking full-time roles in Marketing Analytics, preferably within the Medical Devices and related industries. Any leads or opportunities would be greatly appreciated.”
When it comes to personal hobbies outside of work and school, she likes “practicing yoga, solving puzzles like Sudoku, and being a proud cat mom to [her] 3-year-old orange cat.” This summer, she volunteered at the Boston Pizza Festival, and plans to catch up with friends for a day trip to New York, and do some hiking near Worcester.
What Excites Her About AMA:
“Throughout my time at Clark, I have actively participated in the workshops organized by the AMA club, which have been invaluable in enhancing my knowledge and facilitating connections with fellow marketers. This experience inspired me to join the AMA community, where I can both contribute to and engage with other marketers in exploring the diverse and dynamic field of marketing.
Recently, I got appointed as the Event Planner for the upcoming semester at the AMA Clark Chapter. I am now excited to join the AMA Boston team to continue building meaningful relationships and further enhancing my skills.”
We cannot thank our interns enough for all their help and hard work this summer. We look forward to seeing where they continue to grow in their careers. If you or someone you know is interested in joining the AMA, reach out today!
