Questions:
1. Tell us about yourself!
I was born and raised in Nepal before moving to the U.S. for my undergraduate studies on a full-ride scholarship. From a young age, I’ve been drawn to storytelling and creativity—whether through media, marketing, or digital content.
That passion, combined with a deep interest in data, has shaped my career in journalism, broadcasting, and marketing. Now, I thrive at the intersection of marketing and analytics, using data-driven insights to craft compelling narratives and build genuine audience connections. Whether it’s through social media, podcasts, or live interviews, I love creating content that not only informs and inspires but also leverages performance metrics to drive meaningful engagement and impact.
2. Why are you involved with the AMA Boston / marketing community, and how is the AMA helping empower your career and growth?
I love meeting new people, and my role at AMA Boston makes that even more exciting. As the VP of Volunteers, I get to connect with 4-5 new talents every week—people with unique skills, backgrounds, and perspectives. It’s inspiring to see how diverse voices shape the marketing industry. I also get to work with the podcast team, interview top leaders, and have some of the most insightful conversations with brilliant minds—it’s honestly one of the best parts of what I do.
Beyond that, AMA Boston keeps me up to date with the latest marketing trends and connects me with people who are just as passionate about media and branding. It’s a space where I can exchange ideas, learn from others, and collaborate on creative ways to engage audiences. Being part of this community has helped me grow—not just in my career but as a storyteller and strategist.
3. What are some of your goals for AMA Boston and where do you see yourself with the organization in the next year?
I want to be more involved in AMA Boston’s podcast discussions, especially around growth, outreach, and content strategy. There’s so much to explore when it comes to marketing, and I love diving into new ideas that push the industry forward. Whether through panels, mentorship, or contributing content, I hope to both share insights and learn from others about the ever-evolving world of media and marketing.
Over the next year, I see myself collaborating even more with the AMA Boston community—connecting with creative minds, exchanging knowledge, and helping shape conversations around media, storytelling, and digital strategy.
4. What excites you about marketing/the marketing field?
I’m excited to see how storytelling continues to evolve in marketing. At its core, marketing is all about connecting with audiences in meaningful ways, and I love exploring creative ideas that make that happen. It’s not just about selling—it’s about sparking conversations, building communities, and creating moments that resonate.
What excites me most is the constant innovation in social media, content creation, and audience engagement. There’s always something new to experiment with, whether it’s a fresh way to tell a story, an emerging platform, or a strategy that shifts how we connect with people. I can’t wait to see where the industry goes next!
5. Who is your favorite marketer OR what is your favorite business that does marketing well?
Nike is easily my favorite brand when it comes to marketing—both as a marketer and as a runner. Their campaigns don’t just sell products; they tell powerful, emotional stories that push people to be their best. Whether it’s Just Do It, athlete-driven narratives, or their bold social impact campaigns, Nike consistently creates marketing that feels personal and inspiring.
As a runner, I connect deeply with their messaging. Their brand isn’t just about shoes or gear—it’s about resilience, pushing limits, and believing in yourself. That’s the kind of marketing that sticks with you, and it’s something I try to bring into my own work—creating stories that motivate, engage, and leave a lasting impact.
