The job market in the United States is in a state of radical change.
More people than ever before want to work remotely rather than go into the office. Companies sift through resumes using applicant tracking technology. And artificial intelligence is being used to write resumes, cover letters, job descriptions and more.
The landscape has changed.
Even though the unemployment rate in the U.S. remains low, people are going for long periods of time without landing a job, without landing an interview, without being contacted at all – despite submitting hundreds of resumes. It’s leading to stress, anxiety and economic hardship.
The good news is that we are here today to talk about ways to navigate this brave new world. We have assembled a panel of recruiting and employment experts from across the country…and across the pond.
The experts joining us today include:
- John Gates, recruiting executive, salary negotiation coach, and author of the best-selling book, “Act Your Wage.”
- Jenn Walker Wall, Career Coach, Consultant, Job Search Strategist and host of the “Careers at the End of the World” podcast.
- Steve Levy, Co-Founder and Board member of the Association of Talent Acquisition Professionals.
- Tom Wood, Co-Founder and CEO of the UK-based recruiting firm The Hub, the expert online portal for job seekers.
For the first half of this program, we will have a panel discussion and talk about not only what we’re seeing on the front line of job searching, but also how to deal with it. What tactics and strategies people can use to be more effective in their job search.
We want this to be a two-way dialogue. So, for the second half of the program– for a full half hour – we will answer questions from the audience.
Our hope is that you leave this AMA Boston webcast better informed, better prepared, and fully invigorated to land your next professional level job.
